Ever wonder why some spots in a warehouse feel cozy while the rest of the room is freezing? It’s usually because of short-wave infrared radiation. Basically, we design these lamps to beam heat straight to you—or whatever surface you’re trying to dry—without wasting energy heating up all the air in between. It’s fast. Really fast. Which is exactly why they’re the go-to for industrial drying or just keeping a specific workstation warm. Getting the power right Here’s the thing: the heat you get depends on how much wattage we cram into the length of the tube. Shorter tube, higher wattage, more intense heat. But you’ve got to be careful with your power grid. Most of our industrial setups run on 220V or 230V to keep the heat and light steady. If you try to push too much voltage through the system, you’ll fry the filament. And nobody wants to deal with a dead lamp in the middle of a shift. Built to take the heat We use high-purity quartz glass for the housing. Why? Because it doesn’t freak out when the temperature jumps. It handles “thermal shock” like a pro, so you don’t have to worry about the glass cracking the moment you flip the switch. We also use R7s bases. These are simple push-in connectors. If a lamp goes out, you just pop it out and put a new one in. No rewiring, no headache, and very little downtime on the floor. A few things to keep in mind The best part is that there’s zero warm-up time. You hit the switch, and you feel the heat instantly. But, since that quartz tube gets incredibly hot, you can’t just tuck it next to anything that might catch fire. Give it some breathing room. And if your ceilings are a bit low, the heat might feel a little too intense. In those cases, just toss in a dimmer or a timer to dial things back. Oh, and one last tip: use high-temperature cabling. You don’t want your insulation melting because the wires couldn’t handle the heat.
